Read the Bible Regularly This Year

You probably don't skip too many meals. Don't be insulted, I am typing this on a blog and can't see you...so I am not implying you eat too much. I am just saying that you regularly take in food so your body survives. Remember that man does not live on bread alone, but by every word of God. The problem is we often forget to eat spiritually or just get too busy. Having a plan to regularly take in the Word of God is often helpful to avoid such problems. There are a bunch of good ones out there. Check out some of the links below.

  • Ligonier Bible Reading Plan Suggestions (RC Sproul's ministry offers a lot of possible plans)
  • A Simple Reading Tracker (just read as many chapters as you can and check them off as you do - no dates on this plan)
  • For the Love of God (DA Carson - you can subscribe to get it emailed to you). For the Love of God is a daily devotional designed to walk a person through the Bible in a year while assisting the reader in discovering the riches of God’s Word. Originally published by Crossway Books (volume 1 in 1998 and volume 2 in 1999), this “blog” is really not a blog at all, but a free digital version of the devotional provided by TGC and Crossway. Our hope is that this daily devotional will deepen your understanding and appreciation of God’s Word—for the love of God.
