Perseverence: How can I have assurance I am saved? pt. 3

Here is question three as we seek to find assurance of salvation.


3. Do I have a love for God's people?
1 John 2:9 says, "Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness."  If you are indwelt by the Holy Spirit you love others whom he indwells.  You are brothers and sisters in Christ.  A true love for God's people will express itself in a desire to be around them.  Otherwise you just love the idea of loving God's people instead of actually loving God's people.
